It’s Clerkenwell Design Week. During this week the many showrooms and studios of Clerkenwell are transformed with super-creative installations resulting from collaborations with some of the world’s leading designers.

Clerkenwell is regarded as one of the most important design hubs in the world with more architects and creative firms per square mile than anywhere else. It’s impossible to walk fifty paces without seeing a fixie, a statement tattoo or a hipster beard; not only that, the latte is to die for. What’s not to love?

We are involved this year with a most interesting and creative installation: The Sensorium by international architect Hassell and Scandinavian seating manufacturer HÅG.

Sensorium plays with smells, textures and sound, leading visitors to question how the senses influence their experience. At the heart of the Sensorium sits a mysterious black space which offers guests unexpected – even voyeuristic – perspectives of the surrounding pleasure garden. And the lighting? You have to see it to believe it so if you’re in London get yourself down there, it’s only there for 3 days till 26 May.
