Two different colour temperature lamps were used to highlight the folds and contours of the design, and when combined gave a pleasing quality to the ambient light within the foyer. Using highly efficient lamps, an added benefit of the scheme was the reduction of additional downlights within the foyer. This reduced energy consumption of the scheme as well as lowering the initial capital and ongoing costs. The final outcome is a dynamic foyer which has a high visual presence from the street view outside, whilst creating a warm environment in areas which are often dark and gloomy, such as lift lobbies.
