Electrolight was engaged to design the feature and functional lighting to the Stage and landscaped areas within Stage 1a of the GCCP project. We were involved in all phases of the project from Masterplan to delivery.
The shade canopy of the Outdoor Stage is a striking steel structure featuring the distinctive HOTA masterplan design motif – the Voronoi, a dynamic, cellular geometric structure that unifies the precinct visually. Feature lighting has been integrated into the Voronoid Stage façade to provide dynamic colour-change scenes. Each Voronoid panel is individually addressable to enable customised lighting shows to be created for events and performances.
The overall lighting scheme has been designed to enhance the architecture and landscape design. Lighting has been detailed to accentuate unique architectural features and provides accents to selected landscape elements.
