Electrolight was appointed to design the specialist lighting for the new Economics and Commerce Faculty, an impressive 13 storey building to be built in the University precinct of Carlton. An important consideration was that the building be designed to adhere to the newly developed Green Star energy efficiency requirements as part of the 5 star design for sustainability. Electrolight
successfully developed an environmentally conscious lighting scheme utilising modern compact fluorescent lighting, yet maintained important aesthetic components throughout the building.
