LIGHTING DESIGNER / DOCUMENTOR – MELBOURNE STUDIO

Electrolight is looking for an experienced and passionate Lighting Designer / Documentor to join our busy Melbourne studio.

THE ROLE

Applications are invited from creative, proactive and like-minded people with the following interests and skills:

• Thorough/clear documentation skills including layouts, details, schematics
• Knowledge of relevant design standards and architectural / engineering drawing standards
• An interest in the critical role light plays in architecture, art and society

DUTIES

• Preparation of technical drawings and other design documentation as required using CAD and Revit
• Undertaking design calculations and lighting modelling
• General support to the Lighting Design team

REQUIREMENTS

• Proficiency with CAD and Revit
• 2 years experience in the design / construction industry
• Lighting Experience – minimal (preferred)
• Knowledge of lamps and luminaires (preferred)
• Ability to simultaneously work on a number of different projects and tasks
• Basic understanding of architecture and wider building services
• Experience using cloud-based document management databases
• Broad knowledge and understanding of software logic, software compatibility issues, integration requirements and system coordination
