We think that we have a pretty full dance-card over the next few weeks with presentations to the judges for projects we have entered into this year’s IES Lighting Design Awards.

We have already traveled to Queensland to present the light sculpture at QIC’s Robina Shopping Centre to the IES Queensland Awards panel.  This morning and on Tuesday we presented our scheme for the lecture theatre at the University of Melbourne School of Economics and Commerce.  We still have 4 more projects to present.

Of course the burden is far greater for the judges.  In Robina the judges drove an hour each way to see our project – all 6 of them.  Here in Victoria, there are 29 entries that the judges will visit.  The judges do not get paid and are busy people so this represents a truly fantastic effort, making possible what many people say that is the highlight of the IES calendar.
