The restaurant contains three teppan grills with group seating. These teppanyaki kitchen zones are the heros of the space, ensuring diners have a front-row seat to view the culinary performance.
The lighting concept offers similar sophistication, allowing the layers to be articulated without embellishment. The aim was to apply light thoughtfully and deliberately to capture the textures and the food. Pinhole downlights dramatically illuminate the teppans, whilst steam from cooking is highlighted in a theatrical manner from discreet ceiling downlights.
After the main event, diners are encouraged to retire to the 30-seat dessert and whisky lounge. Bar area lighting is more subdued, with pinhole accents to tables, lighting highlights to bottles and decorative wall lights which softly wash luxe wall finishes.
