International Design Award for Electrolight

For the second year in a row, we have taken out a prestigious IALD International Lighting Design Award for our 171 Collins Street Project.  This comes after receiving the highest Australian Lighting Design Award (the IES Award of Excellence) for the same project.

The project was especially pleasing for us. We had a great client in APP/Charter Hall/CBUS, a wonderful site and of course an excellent architect to work with in Bates Smart.

Electrolight’s Head of Design and project leader Jess Perry said “it’s always especially satisfying to receive recognition for our work from peers but as much credit for the success of this project needs to go to Bates Smart for creating such a beautiful space to work with”.  Bates Smart’s director Kristen Whittle describes the project as “an essay in light” – we couldn’t have put it better ourselves.
