Last week we conducted a lighting mock-up of James Parrett’s impressive ‘Swerve’ sculpture. The artwork is located at Beveridge, at the entry to the Mandalay housing development just off the Hume Hwy, north of Melbourne.
The sculpture stands 9m in height, and is made from corten steel. The natural oxidation of the steel provides a fantastic lighting canvas.
The lighting design consists of four in-ground metal halide fixtures of low wattage, carefully aimed to reveal the form of the sculpture.
