Paul Beale to speak at National University of Singapore

On Thursday 16 October, Paul will speak to the architecture school at the National University of Singapore, presenting a paper titled “Beyond Saturation: The Future of Urban Lighting”. The paper will consider how light is applied to the urban environment in the context of ever increasing competition for buildings and cities to outcompete each other.

A case study investigating the lighting design to Melbourne’s new football stadium and an examination of historical precedents will provide insights into the future direction of lighting design in urban space in a time of increased environmental awareness.
