Alector’s mission is to develop therapies that empower the immune system to cure neurodegeneration. The burden caused by neurodegeneration is unprecedented. There are currently few methods to prevent, cure, or meaningfully alter the inexorable course of neurodegenerative disease. Their mission is to change that. To do so, they mine the human genome to identify mutations in immune system genes that increase the risk for these disorders. From there, they are pioneering new drugs that counteract the damage these mutations cause. Their goal is a cure.
Their new offices and lab interiors improvements take 3 floors in the Oyster Point complex in South San Francisco, CA . The space utilizes modular casework and adjustable shelving throughout allowing the user more flexibility for layout changes. Project includes focus rooms, collaboration spaces, conference rooms, library and communication stair.
