The lighting approach needed to capture this feeling of natural light, as well as compliment the soft tones and smooth lines of the interiors. Large stretch fabric ceiling panels were designed with dynamic white lighting which changes progressively to suit the time of day from 2700K in the morning, through to a mixture of 4000K and 6500K during the day and back to 2700K at night.
Flexible track lighting provides deliberate and functional lighting to the public areas, allowing the client’s art collection to be properly illuminated as it evolves over time. A number of custom luminaires were designed for the fitout to create an aesthetic unique to the BCG brand. The circular ‘thinking tank’ multifunction workspace was a critical part of the project, and needed a lighting approach that covers a variety of requirements while retaining ultimate visual comfort.
