Radically reimagined, the mind-bending project pays tribute to the city’s progressive cultural legacy, as well as the audacious tastes of the clients.
“It’s Grateful Dead meets Burning Man meets Marrakech meets Victorian posh, with a generous dose of contemporary design and art,” said the Interior Designer.
The lighting design flirts with the psychedelic features of the project, using RGBW features in key locations and black-lighting to enhance and transform outstanding art wall and ceiling paintings created by Londhub Studio.
Despite the project’s outrageousness, elegance is paramount, and delicate architectural lighting details were integrated into millwork, stairwell walls and deep blue lacquered ceiling coves to create seamless glowing features.
Decorative lighting fixtures and a dichroic glass art piece by Olafur Eliasson help provide a sensorial experience as we move from space to space.
It’s almost like Interior Architecture was taken to the Met Gala.
