Okta, the leading independent identity provider, set out to create an immersive environment to showcase its products and services and support a dynamic approach to work. Its first Experience Center, a prominent ground-floor location in Manhattan’s Flatiron District, features integrated interactive design and provides flexibility for Okta employees to connect and collaborate with colleagues, Okta partners and customers, and the company’s broader network.
Located on a busy corner just south of Madison Square Park, an array of vertical wood fins with embedded LEDs creates an impactful streetscape impression and guides an engaging, highly personalized visitor experience once inside. The interior design responds to the desire for flexible, multi-use spaces imbued with a sense of hospitality, while recalling the secure, seamless, responsive nature of Okta’s technology. From the inviting entry coffee bar to a luminous 70-person event room, the ground floor of the Experience Center provides fluidity to accommodate a range of programmatic needs. A wood slatted wall features prominent Okta branding while screening a stair to an open second-floor mezzanine, where conference rooms and team areas provide needed space for focused work or private meetings.
From the captivating LED fins to a supporting app experience, integrated digital technology, choreographed with leading experience design firm Hush, creates a thoughtful and immersive visitor experience. Together, the entire program and digital experiences showcase the power of Okta. The Okta Experience Center is on track to receive LEED Silver and Well Gold certifications.
