“Cosmic Strings”, a bespoke chandelier cascading vertically, connects the ground floor wine bar with two upper levels of dining. The 6 strands of LED diodes reminiscent of guitar strings create a subtle homage to one of rock music’s most legendary couples. In the 1970s, it was the subject of a press conference in which John Lennon, facing immigration issues, announced the creation of a conceptual country—one devoid of land or boundaries, and welcome to everyone.
The lighting scheme features a combination of meticulously placed spotlights and recessed downlights which enhance tabletops and art pieces. The warm dimming technology is used throughout all spaces, including restrooms, to simulate incandescent lighting, making the spaces as cozy as they could be at nighttime.
This restaurant represents a re-imagined dining experience. One that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and where all are welcome.
