Integration, accurate application of light and concealment of sources were all key components in developing an atmosphere suited to the brief.
Lighting to the bar top was developed with purpose, hiding the light within a bulkhead detail, paired with micro-louvres to accent the bar with minimal spill light. A custom light fitting was designed to illuminate the monolithic bar structure. This invisible fitting hovers from the ceiling to subtlety illuminate the concrete bulkhead, while concealed linear LED under bench top provides a matching glow to the bar front.
The client’s desire for a beam of light at each dining table was made clear during briefing. With a limited budget we set out to find an LED product that’s form and function met all our criteria. With a range of fittings selected, we presented a range of options, illustrating the range of potential effects you can achieve for the money spent. A fitting was chosen for its technical accuracy, but it’s price point was over budget. The client was convinced and approved our recommendation. This was an excellent outcome, each table lit with a 2.2W LED narrow beam track spot with minimal spill light and very high colour rendering to accentuate the food and wine on every table.
