Westfield Sydney City opens for business

If you are anywhere near Sydney today you wouldn’t escape the hype surrounding the opening of Westfield’s flagship Australian shopping centre, situated in one of the world’s most highly prized retail areas.

Electrolight is very proud to announce our involvement with the project.  We were the specialist lighting designers responsible for all public internal and external spaces.  This project has been another journey for our team.  We have been involved for nearly two years, spent literally thousands of hours working up a scheme, in collaboration with our project partners, of which we are very proud.  This is not an everyday project.  We had a superstar design team; the interior designer was Wonderwall out of Japan, the architect John Wardle, the signage and wayfinding consultant Buro North.  Coupled with this was a very experienced and progressive-thinking client in Westfield who managed the process as well as  providing additional design services.  Not an easy project but seeing the end result well worth the hard yards.
